***TRAIL RESCUE - MOUNT DIABLO*** Easter Sunday afternoon, CHP H-30 was requested by @contracostacountyfire for a party with a possible broken leg, who had been hiking a remote trail on Mount Diablo. The crew of H-30 responded and located the hiker. The crew then lowered down an @srvfire Helicopter Rescue Technician paramedic to assist with patient extraction. Ours is tarantula mating season… 🕷️ During mating season (Aug. - Nov.), male tarantulas emerge from their burrows at night and search for a mate. 😘 But after mating, the male often attempts a quick getaway and for good reason! It’s common for female tarantulas to eat the male after mating. 🍽️😱 But this doesn’t always happen. If the female ate before or has ample food supply, she may spare him. Whew! 😅 So this coming season your chances of spotting a tarantula wh
