This hike is a wonderful ~9.5 miles from the Bear Lake Trailhead to the Fern Lake Trailhead via Lake Helene, Odessa Lake, Fern Lake, Fern Falls, and The Pool. It is a beautiful hike, and is mostly downhill if you start from the Bear Lake trailhead. Remember that the shuttle serive will be necessary after 9:00 AM to get to Bear Lake.
