In August 2025, a cross was reinstalled on the summit of Aneto — the highest peak in the Spanish Pyrenees at 3,404 m. Originally placed in the 1950s by the Centro Excursionista de Cataluña, the cross was removed for restoration and has now returned in a helicopter airlift.
