It’s moments like these….Three NPWS fire fighters and a dozer driver gave a helping hand to a young koala at the Bill’s Crossing fire at Crowdy Bay recently. Koalas can become dehydrated after exposure to fire so Ben Dawson gave the thirsty koala a drink, while Des Augey and Chris O’Brien worked behind the scenes to get their new friend into safe hands. After calling the special find into the incident control centre, Chris ferried the little guy (or girl!) to the Port Macquarie Koala Hospital. T
