While it's impossible to say any team is an obvious landing spot for Sanders anymore, the Pittsburgh Steelers with their need at quarterback once again passed on him. They used their first pick in the fourth round (No. 123 overall) to select Ohio State linebacker Jack Sawyer.

Just as they did in the first round, the Pittsburgh Steelers passed on drafting quarterback Shedeur Sanders in the third round. The Steelers instead chose to select former Iowa running back Kaleb Johnson with the 83rd overall pick.

Shedeur Sanders is the headliner, but there's still a solid chunk of talent waiting to be drafted as Round 4 looms.

NFL Draft is well underway, yet the Pittsburgh Steelers still do not have an answer from Aaron Rodgers regarding his plans for the upcoming season. While Rodgers remains unsigned, Steelers president Art Rooney II provided an update on where the team currently stands with the future Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback.

As his team passed on drafting a quarterback, including Shedeur Sanders, for the second time in the 2025 NFL draft, Steelers owner and president Art Rooney II said Friday the team "may get word soon" on Aaron Rodgers.
