Colorado coach Deion Sanders has noted as much, sending out an eyeball emoji in wake of Derek Carr's shoulder injury that could lead the Saints to draft a quarterback when the NFL draft runs April 24-26. Sanders, of course, has personal interest in seeing his son Shedeur Sanders, a top quarterback in this year's class, get selected.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the New Orleans Saints may be more likely to draft Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart than Colorado's Shedeur Sanders.

The Derek Carr saga has taken another turn. The veteran quarterback, who may miss the 2025 season with a shoulder injury that wasn't publicly known about until last week, reportedly was interested in a potential change of scenery this offseason before the Saints essentially nixed that by restructuring his contract.
