A line of fast-moving storms prompted severe thunderstorm warnings in the Chicago area and ground stops at O'Hare and Midway airports. There were also reports of storm damage.

Chicago weather: Flood Watch still in effect for much of the area, more showers comingDuring the day, because of the tropical air mass in place, showers and thunderstorms can form at just about any time. Fox 32 Meteorologist Mike Caplan has the forecast. A Flood Watch is in effect through the evening for most of the viewing area.

Friday’s heavy rain caused lots of flooding on the city’s Southwest Side and neighboring suburbs, and affected residents want answers.
While some storms will start impacting the region this evening, rainfall is likely to intensify overnight. With humidity remaining at very high levels, any precipitation could quickly turn to torrential rainfall.
