Poland’s ministers should choose their words carefully when engaging with foreign figures online, Prime Minister Donald Tusk said on 10 March, following a heated social media spat between Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski and President Donald Trump’s billionaire associate Elon Musk.

Tech billionaire Elon Musk and United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio clashed with Poland's foreign minister over the use of the Starlink satellite internet system in Ukraine. This began after Musk took to X and said that Ukraine’s entire front line “would collapse” if he just turned off the internet system.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the U.S. would now take the offer to Russia, and the ball is in Moscow's court.

Less than two weeks after Donald Trump lambasted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy in an Oval Office confrontation, the US president put the pressure on Russia to accept a ceasefire agreement hammered out with Zelenskiy’s advisers.

During talks in Saudi Arabia, Ukraine agreed to President Trump’s plan for a 30-day ceasefire for the war in Ukraine. Trump said that he will now speak to Russia’s president Putin. The U.S. will now resume military aid and intelligence sharing with Ukraine.
