President Donald Trump defended Attorney General Pam Bondi over the weekend amid criticism from some in his base over a memo about accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, writing on Truth Social that Bondi is doing “a FANTASTIC JOB” in her role.

“The Wall Street Journal, and Rupert Murdoch, personally, were warned directly by President Donald J. Trump that the supposed letter they printed by President Trump to Epstein was a FAKE and, if they print it, they will be sued,” the post read.

Trump said Attorney General Pam Bondi should release “whatever she thinks is credible” on Jeffrey Epstein, as he faces backlash from supporters for downplaying the case, according to the BBC. Bondi drew criticism from Trump’s base after stating there was no evidence Epstein kept a client list,

Bongino is seriously considering exiting the Trump administration altogether. He deeply resents the position that Bondi put him in. So does Kash Patel. Whether either figure ends up leaving the Trump administration, of course, remains to be seen.

Kelly had called for Bondi's resignation on Friday amid a rift with top FBI officials Kash Patel and Dan Bongino over the Epstein files.
