By Neha Arora (Reuters) -Indian metals-to-oil conglomerate Vedanta said on Wednesday that U.S. President Donald Trump's doubling of aluminium tariffs to 50% poses a threat to the Indian industry already struggling with surging imports.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer-led UK government stated that the two countries agreed on the need to implement a tariff deal as soon as possible.

As US and Indian teams meet to negotiate a trade agreement, India closely monitors the legal challenges to Trump's tariffs and concessions offered to other nations. India aims to secure the best market access for its companies,
