The Yankees finally found their third baseman, and one of New York’s stars got straight to rubbing salt in the wound of the team they snatched him from. The Colorado Rockies are sending Ryan McMahon to the Bronx for two low-level prospects.

The Yankees clearly needed some pop at third base. Oswald Peraza wasn't cutting it, and McMahon is a solid acquisition without breaking the bank in terms of prospects. He's on his way to a fifth straight 20 home run season, which is no small feat. And in this lineup? Maybe he thrives even more.
