Thousands of "No Kings Day" protests are set to be held throughout the country on Saturday to protest the Trump administration.

The Philadelphia protest is something of a flagship demonstration amid nationwide actions as Trump holds a controversial military parade in Washington, D.C.

The procession, with more than 6,000 soldiers and 128 Army tanks, was one Trump tried to make happen in his first term.

The "No Kings" protests were scheduled in Connecticut as early as 9:30 a.m. in Canton and Glastonbury and could last elsewhere until 6 p.m.

Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) harshly condemned a North Carolina state lawmaker’s photo of a “No Kings” rally, which showed someone carrying a prop of a beheaded President Donald Trump. Dozens of “No Kings” rallies were held across the nation on Saturday to protest the president,

“The most threatening sound to an oligarch is laughter.”

"Being brave for what we hold dear — our freedoms, our democracy, and each other — it's on us, guys," said the actor at a demonstration in New York City on Saturday.
