The National Hurricane Center is tracking two weather systems in the Atlantic Ocean – neither of which pose immediate risk to the United States – while Henriette and Ivo wax and wane in the Pacific Ocean.

Tropical Storm Henriette has rapidly strengthened into a hurricane in the central Pacific Ocean with further strengthening expected but poses no threat to land.

Hurricane Henriette was a Category 1 storm on Monday and was well away from Hawaiʻi. The storm had maximum sustained winds of 85 mph and was about 525 miles northwest of Honolulu.
