The family of one of those students who died from the flu, Henos Eskender, shared their heartbreak with 7News.

Prince George’s County is stepping up efforts to protect the community from the flu. This comes after two elementary students recently died from the infection.  On Wednesday afternoon, Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) partnered with the health department to have a walk-in vaccine clinic.

Rescue volunteers are warning the community that more than a dozen dogs are in danger of being euthanized in Prince George’s County if they are not adopted by Tuesday.
