A historic 30-ton locomotive used in the construction of the Hoover Dam in the 1930s was carefully relocated to its permanent display at the Nevada State Railroad Museum.

Then the giant dam holds firm, the largest man-made lake in the United States sprawling behind it. Hoover Dam is one of engineering’s greatest achievements – perhaps even the greatest.

She thinks the 18 billion gallons of water released from the Lake Manatee Dam led to the flooding in her neighborhood. “Our neighborhood was swallowed by the Braden River," she said.
