Two Russian jets have intercepted a UK Royal Air Force plane over the Black Sea, triggering its emergency systems.

The VC-9C plane known as Air Force Two transported vice presidents, first ladies, and other VIP passengers from 1975 to 2011.

The Russian jets intercepted the U.K. aircraft with one jet flying as close as 19 feet to the British plane's nose, officials said.
