DETROIT – Former Detroit Lions Pro Bowl center Frank Ragnow is coming out of retirement to re-join the team. Ragnow retired from the Lions back in June, due to injuries. Now, it appears he’s back -- and ready to play.
Ragnow stayed in touch with the team during retirement, and now Detroit begins preparing him for his first action since last year’s playoff run.

Ragnow's return came right at a pivotal deadline. Because he was placed on the Lions' reserve-retired list, in order to be eligible to play this season he had to be activated by the team's Week 13 game. The Lions play on Thursday, and as a result the deadline for his return was Wednesday.
