Palestinian medical officials say Israeli strikes across the Gaza Strip have killed at least 20 people, including five children.

Mughrabi CAIRO (Reuters) -Israeli military strikes across the Gaza Strip killed at least 17 Palestinians, eight of them at a school sheltering displaced families in Gaza City, medics said, as the Israeli military ordered the evacuation of a hospital in the north.

Israeli strikes across the Gaza Strip overnight have killed at least 20 people, Palestinian medical officials said. An attack on a school housing displaced people in Gaza City killed at least eight people, including three children, according to the civil defence – first responders affiliated with the Hamas -run government.

Gaza's civil defence agency said Israeli strikes overnight and early Sunday killed at least 28 Palestinians, including at one family's home and at a school building the military said was used by Hamas.

A strike on a school housing displaced people in Gaza City killed at least six people, including four children, according to the Civil Defense, first responders affiliated with the Hamas-run government. The Israeli military said it carried out a precise strike on Hamas militants sheltering there.
