Lara Trump is giving up her Senate dreams. Trump, who formerly co-chaired the Republican National Committee, she was dropping out of contention to replace Marco Rubio in a Saturday post on X. Rubio was tapped by Donald Trump to be his secretary of state back in November.

“Florida deserves a senator who will help President Trump deliver on his election mandate, be strong on immigration and border security, take on the entrenched bureaucracy and administrative state, reverse the nation’s fiscal decline, be animated by conservative principles, and has a proven record of results,” he added.

Lara stepped down from co-chairwoman of the RNC which led to the speculations that she might enter the US Senate by replacing Florida Senator Rubio.
