Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan Tate, the British American online influencers, arrived in Florida on Thursday morning after a Romanian court ruled they could leave the country, a development that raised questions about whether the Trump administration played a role in their sudden departure.
Romania allowed the travel after pressure from Trump officials, a person familiar with the case said. The brothers, vocal Trump supporters, were detained in 2022.
The charges against the Tates remain in force, and they will be expected to return to Romania for court appearances, Romanian officials said.
Andrew and Tristan Tate, dual U.S.-British citizens with millions of online followers, arrived in the U.S. after authorities lifted travel restrictions on them.
