Williamson County Judge Bill Gravell resigned Tuesday to take a position with the Trump administration as the Region 6 advocate for the U.S. Small Business Administration's office of advocacy.

He's accepted a position with the U.S. Small Business Administration, a federal agency that provides support to small businesses and entrepreneurs.

A special session will be held Friday to accept Gravell's resignation and to discuss appointing a new county judge.
