President Donald Trump arrived in Washington, D.C., early Monday morning, one day ahead of his scheduled return to the White House from the G7 in Canada. Trump has ramped up pressure on Tehran to make a “deal” with the United States after Israel began striking targets inside of Iran late last week.
According to police, a man arrived at the hospital around 12:30 a.m. with an undetermined injury. Police said it was initially believed to be a gunshot wound, but the case is now classified as an “Injured Person” report. Officials also confirmed no shootings occurred anywhere in the District overnight.
Roughly 60 demonstrators were arrested on Friday outside the U.S. Capitol after breaching a police line of bike racks and running toward steps leading to the Capitol Rotunda.
