Phil Mickelson is a multiple major winner, but this year's PGA Championship saw him do something for the first time in his long career.

During the first round of the 2025 PGA Championship, Phil Mickelson's round got sideways on the par-5 seventh hole. He hit his drive too far right, his ball going over a fence down the fairway. That triple-bogey came on the heels of three straight bogeys before that, and he made the turn in 40 before signing for an 8-over 79.

It certainly looks like Father Time is going to win his battle with Phil Mickelson. Four years ago, Mickelson won the PGA Championship to claim his sixth career major title. At 50 years old, he became the oldest major champion.
