Former Liverpool forward Luis Diaz has revealed how Florian Wirtz encouraged him to sign for Bayern Munich. The Colombia recently joined the Bundesliga giants, signing a four-year contract in a reported £65.5 million deal.

Wirtz chose Liverpool over Bayern when leaving Bayer, but still spoke highly of his former suitor to Diaz. "I was already familiar with the German league and know roughly what kind of football is played here," Diaz told local reporters.
