Tech billionaire Elon Musk was born in South Africa but emigrated at age 17 and eventually became a naturalized U.S. citizen.

The mogul does not want Starlink, nor any of his companies, to comply with South African regulations, which require that 50% of the capital be in the hands of black, mixed-race, Indian, female, or disabled individuals.
