In addition to Tropical Storm Dexter, the National Hurricane Center is monitoring several other tropical disturbances in the coming days.

Atlantic tropical activity is increasing this week. The WXII 12 First Warning Weather Team is monitoring several areas of interest in the Atlantic, including a spot a few hundred miles off of the North Carolina Coast.

There’s a new tropical storm in the Atlantic Ocean, and two other disturbances that have a shot to get names as well. The National Hurricane Center named Tropical Storm Dexter late Sunday while it was several hundred miles off the coast of North Carolina. Dexter is headed away from the United States, however.
