College GameDay locations revealed for College Football Playoff opening round

Here's where ESPN's "College GameDay" is heading for college football's conference championship week, including location, schedule and time.

As the college football world gears up for the Playoff, ESPN announced where it will be sending its road show, “College GameDay,” for the first round of matchups. For you D-FW folks: It wouldn’t be a long trip to check out Kirk Herbstreit, Nick Saban, Pat McAfee and crew live and in person.

The “College GameDay” crew is heading to two destinations for Round 1 of the CFP.

It's rivalry week in college football, so ESPN's College GameDay couldn't really go wrong with its choice of a host site for the Week 14 show. But why overthink it when there's a clear-cut top option on the board? GameDay didn't, making the easy decision to do this week's show from Ann Arbor, Michigan, for maybe the biggest rivalry of them all.

The "College GameDay" crew heads to Atlanta, Ga. ahead of the SEC Championship game between No. 3 Georgia and No. 9 Alabama.

Have these people never watched GameDay before? Or a Nick Saban press conference? Saban has been a great addition to ESPN and College GameDay since retiring as the head coach at Alabama following the 2023 season.

ESPN announced Wednesday that traveling pregame show College GameDay will have two CFP First Round shows next week.
