The Red Sox have a lot of decisions to make when it comes to their roster, but Alex Cora already knows who will make up the top five hitters in his batting order.

The Boston Red Sox had a little scare on Tuesday but it sounds like everything is going to be okay. Boston scratched star shortstop Trevor Story shortly before the team took on the Philadelphia Phillies in Spring Training action.

Amid an ostensibly unresolved positional battle, Rafael Devers' health (or lack thereof) further complicates matters for the Boston Red Sox. He's bluntly declared himself a third baseman. Yet, manager Alex Cora has left the door wide open for prized free-agent acquisition Alex Bregman to man the hot corner.

A few days after the Red Sox signed Alex Bregman, A.J. Hinch predicted he would change their clubhouse. “He’s always thinking about baseball and talking about baseball,” said Hinch, who managed Bregman with the Astros and now manages the Tigers. “He’ll have his opinions.”

Boston Red Sox All-Star Rafael Devers will not make his spring training debut Wednesday as planned, shifting his scheduled first game to this weekend after a few more days of live batting practice.

Rafael Devers was scheduled to see his first spring training action either Tuesday or Wednesday, but shoulder injuries will keep him sidelined until Saturday.
