Great Lakes region preparing for bad weather as lake-effect snowfall ingredients begin mixing
Cold air is sweeping across the Great Lakes region, bringing lake-effect snow from Michigan's Upper Peninsula to Western New York.
On Tuesday at 12:44 p.m. the National Weather Service released a lake effect snow warning valid from Thursday 1 a.m. until Saturday 1 a.m. for Southern Erie as well as Wyoming, Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties.
There will be a quiet start to the week, but wintry weather is set to return to Western New York just in time for Thanksgiving.
