LIMA — Area residents woke up Sunday morning to heavy snowfall and potentially dangerous road conditions. Many counties in the region are under a Level 2 roadway advisory. Bitterly cold wind chills are expected today, as the area remains under a winter storm warning and winter weather advisory through the National Weather Service.

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for multiple Northeast Ohio counties starting Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.

It's highly recommended that you avoid traveling if you can on Sunday, Jan. 25.

Erie County had been elevated to a Level 3 snow emergency for several hours Thursday morning.

Travel advisories have been issued in several Northeast Ohio counties. Snow squalls hit both counties this morning.
