Tornadoes hit Houston area as thunderstorms move through region, National Weather Service says

Houston and much of Southeast Texas are under a tornado watch until 7 p.m. Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

Two tornadoes confirmed in Alabama from Tuesday storms

The National Weather Service said Tuesday’s early-morning round of storms produced two tornadoes in central Alabama. The weather service in Birmingham did storm surveys on Wednesday and confirmed that an EF-1 tornado tracked through the Mount Olive area in northern Jefferson County, and there was an EF-0 tornado in west Jefferson near Graysville.
