Tech billionaire Elon Musk plans to enter the Indian internet market with his Starlink satellite system, reported German news agency dpa. The Indian telecommunications company Bharti Airtel has signed an agreement with Musk's company SpaceX to bring Starlink's satellite internet services to customers in the world's most populous country.

New Delhi: The Reliance Group's digital services company Jio Platforms Limited has signed an agreement with SpaceX to offer Starlink's broadband internet services to its customers in India, the company said on Wednesday. The agreement is subject to SpaceX receiving authorisation to sell Starlink in India.

Jio and Airtel have signed separate agreements with Elon Musk's Starlink to bring satellite internet to India. The partnerships aim to provide high-speed broadband to remote and underserved areas. Starlink's service rollout depends on government approval.
