Firefighters are responding to an active fire in downtown Madison Monday afternoon, Dane County Dispatch reported.

Madison Police Department responded to an apartment fire Monday afternoon that displaced two UW-Madison students as well as three others.

MADISON (WKOW) — Five people who live in an apartment on E. Gorham Street were displaced by a fire Monday evening. Multiple 911 callers reported fire on the top floor of the E. Gorham Street home with flames coming from the back of the building, according to Madison Fire Department spokesperson Cynthia Schuster.
