Over a year after he went missing, the body of Tyler Goodrich was found by a dog walker in a wooded area near his home.

A man missing for 16 months was found dead less than 1,000 yards from his home, Nebraska authorities say. Foul play is not suspected in the death of Tyler Goodrich, whose 2023 disappearance sparked nationwide attention, according to Lancaster County Sheriff Chief Deputy Ben Houchin.

“Based on what we have discovered and details at the scene, the deceased has been identified as Tyler Goodrich, who has been missing since November 3, 2023,” Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Ben Houchin said. Houchin said he believed the body had been there for over a year and that he was not killed.
