Denver Public Schools this week is believed to be the first district in the nation to sue the Trump administration over immigration enforcement in schools — but it's likely not the last. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents did not make any arrests at Denver schools on Feb. 5, but DPS leaders and educators across the metro area have become concerned about such a scenario after the Trump administration rescinded a 2011 policy that prevented immigration officials from making arrests at sensitive locations, such as schools.

Denver Public Schools and its teacher's union begin contract talks in over a week. An arbitrator has now ruled in favor of the district over a pay dispute.
