A Cold Weather Advisory in effect for the New York City area starting Friday night as an arctic blast moves in ahead of the winter storm.

In his snow-day update, Mayor Mamdani confirmed that Monday will either be in-person or remote learning for students. He’ll make the decision by noon on Sunday.

Public school students can at best hope for remote classes for early next week as the city braces for a potentially devastating storm that the mayor has already said could dump more than a foot of snow across the Big Apple.

Residents are feeling the cold weather, but there will be a slight break Thursday. All eyes are on the weekend with the possibility of a winter storm.

The New York City area could see anywhere from 10 to 14 inches of snow this weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
