The Cincinnati Bengals host the New York Jets in Week 8 with ambitions of keeping hope alive while Joe Burrow rehabs in the background. Those winless Jets seek to play the spoiler on the road, while the Bengals want to make it two in a row after an extended break coming out of that primetime win against Pittsburgh in Week 7.
Cincinnati didn't waste time making New York pay for its decision on the failed 4th-and-1 conversion. The Bengals went 35 yards on five plays in 2:41 as Joe Flacco scored on the quarterback keeper from just outside the end zone after a Semaje Perine 10-yard run was stopped just short of the goal line.
The winless start for the New York Jets took a toll on Justin Fields. At one point in the runup to Sunday's game in Cincinnati, he found himself laying down in his closet and crying. Helped by the support of family and friends,
"In nine matchups with Burrow against Baltimore, the Bengals have won three and lost by three or fewer points in four. Tee Higgins will miss this game while in concussion protocol, but Ja'Marr Chase will be back from a one-game suspension to haul in a ton of targets against Baltimore's 24th-ranked pass defense."
The Bengals wore the uni combo they'll wear in Week 8 twice during the 2024 season, the season in which the team's orange pants were introduced.
Bookmakers expect the Arizona Cardinals (3-9) to see their four-game losing streak continue, as they are 8.5-point underdogs in a matchup with the Los Angeles Rams (9-3) on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at State Farm Stadium.
