A Texas man pleaded guilty on Thursday to violently attacking two women and killing a cat as part of a deal in which the Douglas County District Attorney’s Office dismissed rape and sodomy charges.

A child who was kidnapped from Georgia seven years ago was found safe in Douglas County, and two people believed to be the involved in the crime have been taken into custody.
