Several cities across metro Detroit have declared snow emergencies as a winter storm continues to bring accumulating snow, icy roads and dangerously cold temperatures across southeast Michigan.

An extreme cold warning in Michigan has expanded to the Lower Peninsula as subzero wind chills sweep southward Friday, Jan. 23.
