Two suspects plead guilty to the 2020 death of Philadelphia Police Sgt. James O'Connor on Wednesday, the Eastern District of Pennsylvania U.S. Attorney's Office announced. Hassan Elliott and Khalif Sears shot and killed O'Connor while he was serving a warrant in Frankford in connection with a drug trafficking investigation.

Hassan Elliot fatally shot O'Connor while trying to avoid arrest with Khalif Sears, both of whom were wanted for murder.

An officer was hospitalized and police were searching for one person after a shooting Thursday morning in southwest Houston, officials said. Officials with the Houston Police Department provided limited details about the shooting on Twitter, saying preliminary information was that someone had shot an officer from another agency and fled on foot.

A manhunt continues for the repeat violent offender who shot and killed a deputy serving a warrant Wednesday afternoon, according to Houston police.
