Data analyzed by the CBS News Crime Unit shows at least 50 law enforcement officers have been shot in ambush attacks so far this year.

A police officer in Lorain, Ohio was killed in an ambush attack while eating lunch. Data shows ambush attacks on police are increasing nationwide.

The suspect had parked at a dead end of an undeveloped industrial park in Lorain, located in northeast Ohio, and had an "arsenal of weapons with him," police said.
