Boeing has secured a firm order from Turkish low-cost carrier Pegasus Airlines for a hundred 737 MAX 10 jetliners, winning back a major customer from Airbus in a boost for the U.S. planemaker's largest single-aisle model.

Pegasus Airlines has confirmed an order for the initial 100 Boeing 737-10 jets, scheduled for delivery starting in 2028, along with options for an additional 100 aircraft that may be converted into firm orders in the future.

This year started with a major crisis; an exit door plug blowout on a Boeing 737 MAX 9 while in flight. Most recently, Boeing faced a seven-week strike by thousands of staff, cutting production of aircraft in Washington state.

Turkish low-cost carrier Pegasus Airlines has placed a firm order for 100 Boeing 737 Max 10s, with options for up to a further 100 of the type.

(Reuters) -With just days left in 2024, Boeing announced its single-largest commercial airplane order of the year on Thursday, when it said Turkish low-cost carrier Pegasus Airlines had placed a firm order for a hundred 737 MAX jetliners.

The Boeing Company BA recently clinched an order from Pegasus Airlines to deliver 100 of its 787-10 jets, with an additional opportunity for 100 jets. Pegasus Airlines aims to grow and modernize its single-aisle fleet.
