The New York Jets have interviewed current ESPN NFL analyst Louis Riddick for their vacant general manager position. Riddick, 55, has never held the GM title in the league before, but he has been a coveted interview candidate for vacant jobs in recent years and is a well-respected pundent in his industry.

The New York Jets interviewed former Washington and Carolina coach Ron Rivera on Thursday, the first known head coaching candidate to meet with the team. ESPN analyst and former NFL safety Louis Riddick also interviewed with the team for their general manager vacancy.

Rivera is the first known person to interview for the head coach role after the team fired Robert Saleh in October and named Jeff Ulbrich the interim bench boss.
