Kevin Owens is doing arguably the best work of his career and it’s a shame we may have to settle for him carrying around the Winged Eagle belt as the “true” Undisputed WWE Champion instead of the actual one.

Kevin Owens did not win the Undisputed WWE Championship at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. However, he is calling himself the true champion. At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, Cody Rhodes beat Owens to retain the title.

"A lot of that night is still ingrained in my memory," Owens added, "from the moment I walked back from the ring, to calling my family, talking to my parents, my wife, my kids, Finn [Balor] even and his family, funny enough."
