The Los Angeles Lakers have been named as a team to monitor in a potential blockbuster deal for Portland Trail Blazers guard Jrue Holiday.

Jrue Holiday finds himself in unfamiliar territory after he was traded by the Boston Celtics to the Portland Trail Blazers for Anfernee Simons.

Per Grant Afseth of FastbreakJournal.com, the Portland Trail Blazers ' Jrue Holiday, another veteran guard known for his defense, "is a name to monitor" as far as L.A. is concerned. "Multiple sources recently told FastbreakJournal.com that Holiday is a name to monitor, particularly as a potential target for the Los Angeles Lakers," Afseth wrote.

Jrue Holiday is currently a member of the Portland Trail Blazers, but most people agree he will likely leave that team soon. It seems clear that Holiday could be on the move again before the regular season starts,
