Packers safety Evan Williams could miss multiple weeks with a knee injury, per ESPN, putting Green Bay’s interception leader in doubt.
Among Green Bay Packers players injured last week in Denver was second-year safety Evan Williams. If he misses Week 16 managing a knee injury, says analyst Mina Kimes, in this particular matchup, it could be nearly as big a deal as the loss of Micah Parsons in the pass rush.
Williams came down with a knee sprain and is expected to miss one or two games. The 24-year-old safety had been playing at a high level for Green Bay's defense. On the season, Williams has 92 total tackles, four tackles for loss, three interceptions, and a fumble recovery.
Green Bay Packers safety Evan Williams was the guest for the annual Clubhouse Live food drive show. The event generated 630 pounds of non-perishable food items for Paul’s Pantry in Green Bay. Williams also co-hosted a separate event that raised nearly $200,000 for House of Hope Green Bay.
When Matt LaFleur called the Green Bay Packers’ injury list “pretty substantial” on Tuesday, it was a substantial understatement.
Zach Tom, Christian Watson, and Evan Williams are three of the Green Bay Packers’ most important players. All three of them left Sunday’s loss to the Denver Broncos with injuries, and none returned to the game.
