The US Open gets underway today as 156 of the best players in the world gear up for a brutal golfing examination at Oakmont Country Club. Famed as ‘golf’s toughest test’, this week’s US Open could well provide one of the most gruelling layouts in recent years.
NBC and its broadcast and streaming platforms (Peacock, USA Network, Golf Channel) will provide nearly 300 hours of U.S. Open coverage, beginning with practice rounds on Monday, June 9. NBC will be on the air for 21 of the 47 scheduled broadcast hours of competition, a record for a major championship.
The 125th U.S. Open is returning to Oakmont Country Club in 2025, the venue that has hosted the golf major more than any in the tournament's history.
