First I would suggest you need at least 2 hours probably more to explore this place. I know traveling with children you can’t linger as long. If you’re seniors like us the houses, train depot & ghost…Full review by va5236

The museum is located about 1/2 hour SE of the Las Vegas strip and so worth while stopping to visit. Allow yourself plenty of time - we were there over 3 hours with a break for lunch. Not sure if t…Full review by Footprints767263

You would probably want to call Clark County but you could also try the museum. The number for the operator of Clark County is 702-455-0000. The historic houses themselves have windows that screen off of public from parts of them but the street where the houses sit might be useful. I would call the museum first and then the county if the museum does not know who you should call. Good luck with your film, sounds exciting!
Q:
Is there a way to get there using public transportation? Or a shuttle bus
A:
It's sort of in the middle of no where. Perhaps a tour bus that goes to the M candy store might stop there. I'd just call the museum and ask.

As past guests,(4th time), why were we treated so shabbily by management?

The review was taken out of contect and for another property. It has nothing to do with the Clark County Heritage Museum, which we found to be very interesting and everyone was most welcoming. The director, Mark Hall could not have been nicer. it is unfortunate that somehow another review got posted to this wonderful museum. I will try again to get this deleted.

There are three areas to see in Las Vegas: the strip, downtown and the surrounding area which includes Red Rock canyon and the Clark county museum. For the surrounding area you need a rental car. They are inexpensive, about $26 per day. Traffic on the strip is heavy. For downtown and the strip you have two options, rental car or public bus. One trick with rental cars is to park in the free parking garage behind the Miracle Mile mall near Planet Hollywood. This is convenient to Paris, Bellagio and many shows and stores. The public bus is $20 for three days. It runs the entire length of downtown and the strip. The bus called "Deuce" makes many stops and is slower than the bus called "SDX" which makes fewer stops.
